We all know the saying…

“Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue.”

At our wedding I had an old embroidered hankie that had belonged to my mom’s grandma, I borrowed my sister’s earrings (for keeps), and bought a $5 blue garter.

I was decked out in ‘something new’s.’ I was a bride – I had the white dress, the veil, and a sparkly ring on my finger.

But it wasn’t just that, my whole life was about to be new. New roommate, new town, new phase of life, new job (to find). I had to start to learn to live life as an adult.

And now here we are, still trying new things. This is a blog about our lives, all our ‘something new’s, and all the fun we are having along the way…We love the Lord, each other, and laughing at our adventures.

“Behold, I will do something new, now it will spring forth; will you not be aware of it? I will even make a roadway in the wilderness, rivers in the desert.” Isaiah 43:19

“The LORD’S lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. The LORD is my portion,” says my soul, Therefore I have hope in Him.” Lamentations 3:22-24
